Alia pricing depends on 2 things: which plan you choose and how many visitors your site gets each month. How you pay depends on where your store runs. If you installed Alia from the Shopify App Store, Alia charges appear on your Shopify bill. If your store isn’t on Shopify, you pay by credit card directly inside Alia.
💡 Note: Removing, unpublishing, or pausing your popups doesn’t cancel your plan. Pausing your Shopify store doesn’t cancel it either, so uninstall Alia before you pause. Billing continues until you uninstall Alia or cancel from the Billing page.

How your price is calculated
Your monthly price is set by your plan and your visitor tier. A visitor tier is the number of monthly site visitors your plan covers. Plans start at $100 per month. For current prices at every tier, see the Alia pricing page.
Moving up a tier doesn’t add features. A higher price on the same plan covers more monthly visitors. New capabilities, like ongoing A/B testing, come from moving to the Fully Managed plan.
Annual billing saves 25%. You can pay monthly or pay for a full year at a 25% discount.
High-traffic stores: At 750,000 or more monthly visitors, only the Fully Managed plan is available. Stores with 5 million or more monthly visitors get custom pricing.
Alia never upgrades your plan or visitor tier automatically. If your traffic grows past your tier, we email you with your options to move up.
How the free trial works
💡 Note: For Shopify stores the trial starts when you install Alia, not when you select a plan. If you’ve installed Alia before, reinstalling doesn’t restart your trial. Contact support to discuss options.
Every new store gets a free trial before paid billing begins: 14 days on the Basic plan or 30 days on the Fully Managed plan. The trial applies automatically, with no discount code needed. Your trial starts when you install Alia or create your account, not when your first popup goes live.
Full access: You get every feature in your plan. There’s no limited preview mode.
Visitors don’t count: Traffic during your trial doesn’t count toward your visitor tier. Visitor tracking starts fresh when the trial ends.
Upgrade mid-trial (Shopify stores): If you move from Basic to Fully Managed during your trial, your trial extends to 30 days from your install date. If you’ve already passed 30 days since installing, no extra days are added. Non-Shopify stores can contact support about extending their trial.
Days left: Check how many trial days remain on the Billing page in your Alia dashboard.
When your trial ends, your account moves to the paid version of your plan automatically. You don’t need to do anything to stay on Alia.
Non-Shopify stores: You enter a credit card when you sign up, but you aren’t charged until the trial ends. You can cancel at any time during the trial.
For more detail, see Alia free trial: What to expect.
How you’re billed

How you pay | Alia charges appear on your Shopify bill | Credit card, entered in Alia and processed by Stripe |

Non-Shopify stores can sign up on their own
You can use Alia even if your store doesn’t run on Shopify. There’s no minimum traffic requirement.
To get started:
Go to app.aliapopups.com and create an Alia account.
Enter your credit card details.
Choose your plan.
You land in your Alia dashboard, ready to build your first campaign. You can invite teammates or your agency from there.
💡 Note: If your non-Shopify account was set up before September 17, 2026, your billing may still run through a separate Stripe invoice. Contact support to make plan changes.
Change or cancel your plan
You can change your plan or visitor tier at any time in Alia, including during your free trial. Changes take effect immediately, and your popups, campaigns, settings, and data stay as they are.
In Alia:
Select the drop-down arrow at the top of your dashboard, then select Change plan. It’s at the top right if you use Alia inside Shopify, and at the top left at app.aliapopups.com.
Move the visitor slider to your tier.
Select Change plan under the plan you want.
Approve the new plan.
Shopify stores: Shopify prorates the charge, so you pay only for the time spent on each plan. You don’t need to wait for your billing cycle to reset.
Non-Shopify stores: If your account was set up on or after September 17, 2026, you upgrade, downgrade, or cancel in Alia yourself. To check how a plan change affects your charge, start a chat and our support team will confirm how it’s calculated.
For step-by-step screenshots, see How to change or upgrade your Alia plan.
Cancel your plan
How you cancel depends on where your store runs.
Shopify stores: Uninstall Alia from your Shopify store. You can’t cancel a Shopify subscription from inside Alia.
From your Shopify admin:
Select Settings → Apps and sales channels.
Find Alia and select Uninstall.
Non-Shopify stores: Cancel from the Billing page in Alia.
In Alia, go to Billing.
Cancel your plan.
💡 Note: Removing, unpublishing, or pausing your popups doesn’t cancel your plan. Pausing your Shopify store doesn’t cancel it either, so uninstall Alia before you pause. Billing continues until you uninstall Alia or cancel from the Billing page.
Find your invoices
Shopify stores find Alia charges on their Shopify bill. Non-Shopify stores get invoices by email from Stripe.
From your Shopify admin:
Select Settings → Billing.
Under Bills, select the bill you want to view.
Find the Alia line item in the app charges.
Non-Shopify stores:
Search your inbox for an email from Stripe with “Alia” in the subject.
Select Download invoice to save a PDF copy.
Not seeing your invoices? Check your spam folder, or contact support to confirm the billing email on your account. For more detail, see How to find your Alia invoices and billing details.
Billing and pricing FAQ
I removed my popups. Am I still being charged?
Yes. Removing, unpublishing, or pausing popups doesn’t stop billing. To stop being charged, uninstall Alia from your Shopify store. If your store isn’t on Shopify, cancel from the Billing page in Alia.
I’m pausing or closing my Shopify store. Do I need to do anything?
Yes. Uninstall Alia before you pause or close your store. If you pause your store, Alia stays installed and billing continues until you uninstall it. If you deactivate your store, Shopify uninstalls Alia automatically and stops future charges, but any pending charges are billed when your store closes.
What do I get by moving from a $100 Basic plan to a $200 Basic plan?
A higher monthly visitor allowance. Features stay the same within a plan. Ongoing A/B testing and a dedicated Customer Success Manager come with the Fully Managed plan.
If I downgrade to the Basic plan, will I lose support?
No. Live chat support is included in both plans. You’ll lose the Fully Managed extras: your Customer Success Manager, managed A/B testing, and your Slack channel.
I’m partway through my billing cycle. Will I be charged twice if I upgrade now?
Plan changes take effect right away. On Shopify, the charge is prorated, so you pay only for the time spent on each plan. If your store isn’t on Shopify, start a chat and our support team will confirm how your charge is calculated.
My traffic went past my visitor tier. Will Alia upgrade me automatically?
No. Alia never changes your plan or tier on its own. We email you to discuss the options to move to the next tier.
Still have a billing question?
Start a chat with our support team in the Alia app or the Help Center. Include your store URL and whether you’re on Shopify so we can find your account. Fully Managed customers can also ask their Customer Success Manager or post in their Slack channel.
